This marriage license documents the marriage between William Street and Caroline Sarah Warman on December 11, 1905. The database documentation at Ancestry.com lists the location as the Saint John Parish at Hackney, Middlesex, Hackney, London. The document itself includes a number of interesting pieces of information.

Both individuals are listed as being 27 years of age, with William being listed as a “Bachelor” and Caroline as a “Spinster”. William’s occupation is listed as “Grocer”. I find it difficult to read their residence street names, but it appears both live at different addresses along Millfields Road Lower Clapton(?)

Information about their fathers is included on this document as well. Both fathers are deceased. William’s father was named James Street, and his profession was “Gas Engineer”. Caroline’s father was named William John Warman and his profession was that of a “Dairyman”. At the bottom of the document, we see the signatures for both William and Caroline, along with what I believe are signatures for the witnesses (whom I believe would be relatives or very close friends). The names appear to be Herbert Frank Bailey and Alice Parsons.
