Now we just have to trust that deleting is just that and not only hiding it from their public servers :)

That makes sense. I have now turned off Android's "sync" for the facebook app and used Facebook's instruction to delete those entries from their server, so I'm good now. None of this dawned on me, though, when I installed the app in the first place.

Hi Patrick,

Not trying to be the devil's advocate here, but in my case the contact list only shows contacts I have on facebook and that have listed their own phone number. It does not show "all my contact phone numbers" and also not "those who are not on facebook"

I'm using the FB app on my iPhone (and iPad for that matter) and I guess, but don't remember, that importing was presented as an option when installing, since I'm pretty sure I just agreed to all things facebook presented me with when installing.

Cheers,
Thijs

There were several days over this past week where it wasn't working for me either, but it appears to be up and running again. My assumption is the facebook servers were were not cooperating with share buttons for a while.

Hello Patrick

Any idea if this fix is still valid.
The counter doesnt appear at all on my blog, also, when i share a post, the like counter in the one incremented where as the share counter in not displayed at all.

Im using simple FB code no changes, any idea why the counter is not working for FB share.
I see that you were working with FB share for a while, maybe you have an idea of whats going on...

Thanks
